Bestselling noverlist Owen Waterbury recruits aspiring writer Stephanie 'Steve' Gaylord as his latest secretary. She is disappointed to find she is to work in his apartment, where there's a constant parade of eccentric visitors and slapstick provided by klutzy roommate Ronnie.
