The Wombats confirmed to headline the iTunes festival - Music News
Firmly established as one of the country's most loved live bands, The Wombats are the latest addition to this year's iTunes Festival which is held at London's prestigious Roundhouse venue. The Wombats will grace the stage on July 16th and will be supported by All The Young who are building a reputation as a leading contender in a brave new era of British rock 'n' roll.
All tickets for the show are free and can be applied for directly from www.itunesfestival.com/gb/lineup. The Wombats will follow the show with the digital release of the 'iTunes Festival: London 2011' EP.
2011 has already seen The Wombats make huge strides forward with the release of their second album 'The Wombats proudly present. This Modern Glitch' which peaked at #3 and includes four of their most popular singles to date with 'Tokyo (Vampires and Wolves)', 'Jump Into The Fog', 'Anti-D' and 'Techno Fan'. The next single to be taken from an album that has shocked, impressed and spun opinion on this most uncompromising of 21st century pop bands will be 'Our Perfect Disease' which will be released on August 15th.
The iTunes date adds to a hectic summer festival schedule has already included Glastonbury, Radio 1's Big Weekend and Rockness, and continues with a sold-out Lovebox headline date, a headline performance at Wakestock and two sets at the V Festival. The Wombats will then commence their own previously announced headline tour in September:
